Luc Besson

French director, producer, scriptwriter

Luc Besson was born in a family of instructors of company Club Med on underwater swimming since the childhood was going to continue family tradition. He had spent all childhood at coast of Greece and Yugoslavia, with enthusiasm being engaged in diving and underwater photography. His dream was to become the expert in dolphins. However dreams could not come true. In seventeen years as a result of accident he loses possibility to be engaged in the favourite business.

 Besson comes back to Paris where that is engaged in another, does not become attached yet to cinema. He looks many films, works on sets, on auxiliary roles. In 19 years it leaves to Hollywood, but, having worked there, returns home and goes to serve in army. Having served three years, it comes back to a cinema, at first as the director of musical clips, and then and as the assistant to the director in "the big" cinema.
